Yes, all plant and machinery in the TRW Ltd fleet is covered by comprehensive insurance. This includes public liability insurance and machinery breakdown cover. However, we recommend that hirers also arrange their own insurance to cover the equipment while it is on their site, as this is standard practice in the plant hire industry. We can provide further details on insurance requirements upon request.
We primarily offer self-drive plant hire, meaning the hirer is responsible for operating the equipment. However, depending on the machine type and project requirements, we may be able to arrange for a qualified, CPCS-certified operator. Please discuss your requirements with our team when making your booking enquiry, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
All TRW Ltd plant and machinery is maintained to the highest industry standards. Every machine undergoes regular servicing, thorough inspection, and routine maintenance as part of our fleet management programme. Equipment is checked and cleaned before each hire period, ensuring it arrives on your site in optimal working condition. We invest continually in our fleet to provide modern, reliable equipment.
We arrange delivery and collection of all hired equipment directly to and from your site using our own transport fleet. Delivery times are agreed in advance and we pride ourselves on punctuality — understanding that delays can cost valuable project time. Delivery charges are calculated based on the distance from our depot at Ravens Hill, Llangannog, SA19 9AN, and the type of equipment being transported. We can often combine deliveries to reduce costs for our clients.
In the unlikely event of a mechanical breakdown during your hire period, contact us immediately on 0734570185. We aim to resolve all issues as quickly as possible, either by arranging on-site repair or providing a replacement machine to minimise downtime on your project. Breakdown support is part of our commitment to reliable service. You will not be charged for any downtime caused by a mechanical fault with our equipment.
We understand that construction projects can change rapidly, and we do our best to accommodate short-notice and same-day hire requests whenever possible, subject to equipment availability. For the best chance of securing the specific machinery you need, we recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance. Call us on 0734570185 for urgent requirements — we will always try to help.
For new customers, we may require a deposit or a credit check, depending on the type and value of equipment being hired. We also offer credit accounts for established, regular clients. All commercial terms are discussed openly and agreed before the hire commences. We aim to make the process as smooth and straightforward as possible.
We offer a wide range of attachments to complement our plant hire fleet, including various bucket sizes, hydraulic breakers, tilt buckets, grabs, pallet forks, and man baskets for telehandlers. When enquiring about a machine, let us know what tasks you need to accomplish and our team will recommend the most suitable attachments. Additional attachments may be available on request.
Hired equipment must be used only at the delivery address specified at the time of booking. The hirer is responsible for ensuring the site is suitable and safe for the operation of the machinery. Equipment must not be sub-hired or used by untrained personnel. If you need to relocate the machine to a different site during the hire period, please contact us in advance to make the necessary arrangements.
